Over 3311 successful volunteering cases in 2011 – Happy New Year!

Huge thanks to all the volunteers at Rescue Helpers Unite. Together in 2011 we have completed 3311 rescue requests!

That involves fostering, transporting, homechecking, fundraising and finding rescue backup for poundies (dogs in Local Authority pounds).

Many of the request threads include multiple animals, so the total animals helped is higher than this – estimated to be around 4000 animals helped in 2011!

Thank you to everyone volunteering for animals at RHU

Volunteering in 2012…

2011 has been a good year but we still urgently need more volunteers on board, especially volunteers for dog fostering and transporting as those seem to be the requests we get from rescues most frequently.

Many thousands of dogs, cats and other animals are being put to sleep every year due to lack of homes. With more volunteers and more rescue awareness we can save more of them!
